Blower Motor

Home

My new toy.

A Weiand 6-71 blower with 2 Holley 600cfm carbs.

Old 402 getting ready to be removed. I had put only 700 miles on this one.

New 454 blower motor going together. It's an 83 model 454 out of a motorhome. I kept the stock rotating assymbly. Added a Lunati blower cam, ARP bolts throughout, 781 cast heads. Blower is set up to give 5lbs max boost.

Got it installed and all it needs is everything pieced back together.

Had to set it on just to see how it looked.

Looks good sitting there.

Working on getting the belts lined up.

Brackets are for a late 60's big block Vette.

PowerMaster Hi torque starter.

Trial fitting the PRC radiator and Spal fans.

Very little room for the belts

A/C belt runs real close to the pump inlet. Used a copper water pipe fitting to go around the belt.

As close as it is, the distributor will still be able to come out.

In the car and running.

Vac lines for Turbo400 modulator and boost referenced power valve

Brake booster vac line

Cut the hole for the blower and removed the hood bird mount. Will have a shaved hood.

Welding in the patch panel

My wire feed Miller

Hood is finally finished

Used chrome door edge guard around the edges

No bird or emblem anymore. Just a slick hood.
