Painting is finished and it's time to put it all back together.

Home

Put the side trim on and dropped the 402 in it. Rolled it outside for a few pictures.

Really close fit on the drivers side.

Trial fit and I'm going to have to move the block around for clearance.

No room for valve covers now.

Put the front clip on today. 6/27/04.

P/S pulley is real close. May have to notch the support.

Upper clearance is fine.

Painted the master cylinder with a brush.

Finally got the trunk seal put in. First one was a Softseal and it was so hard that the trunk would not close. Put on a T&N seal and it worked perfect.

Engine and front end is wired now using American Autowire harness.

Battery mounted in trunk. Built an oak box to cover it.

American Autowire harness. I really like the way it's all marked and how everything plugs together.

Autometer guages from Danchuck

American wire harness lets you wire everything to two main plugins.

Dash trim was a little bit of a pain to install. Had to sand the bottom edge on the two end pieces to get them to fit height wise.

Doors are on,bumpers installed, engine runs great, now just need interior and glass now.

Grill and bumper guards installed along with Stainless overflow on radiator

Side glass is installed on drivers side now.

Engineer who designed the rear quarter glass setup must have been one smart cookie. So many things have to work just right for the glass to drop in back then fall in front.

Hood installed now. Just need exhaust, interior, and front and rear glass and she's ready for the road.

Couple of shots outside. Just need to get an interior now.

55 Chevy radiator kit as it comes from PRC.

Core support put in to check for clearance.

Dual Spal fans cannot be mounted behind the support because of clearance issues with the serpentine system.

Had to move the radiator forward an inch and mount the fans between the radiator and support.

This is what it looks like together.

Will have to cut the hood latch support to clear the a/c condensor.

Corner braces on hood will have to be bent or replace to clear the radiator corners.

Finally got the PRC radiator installed. The twin Spal fans really pull a lot of air.

Looks sharp sitting there.

Just more pictures of radiator
